Will Carling Commends The Development Set Up At The Old Mids
Will Carling has commended The Old Mids youth set up in glowing terms after talking to Academy manager Mark Dean. Having heard the scope of the clubs ambition and it's development policy for young and emerging players at all age groups he was delighted to see the progress already being made at The Old Mids. Speaking in an exclusive meeting with the club he said;
"Grass roots and club rugby is so important to the development of the game that it is great to see what the Old Mid-Whitgiftian RFC are doing. They look like they have one of the most important factors for any rugby club and that is ambition. The addition of young players to the club such as Sam Showering, James Ransom, John Beaney, Elliott Burnett and Nigel Peart highlight that ambition and I hope the efforts made pay off and success comes your way this season. Best of luck to all teams involved and keep setting an example to clubs up and down the country."
